Jane Linda (Ashe) MacDougald, age 75, passed away on December 24, 2020 at Carleton Manor, Woodstock, New Brunswick.  Jane was the loving mother of Andrew MacDougald (Michelle), Woodstock, NB and Rachael MacDougald, Fredericton, NB.  Jane was the Nannie of Brandon (Jenny) and Joshua (Gina), Jessica (Braden) and Mikayla (Austin).  Jane was blessed with one great granddaughter, Madeline Rose.  Jane is also survived by one brother, Charles Ashe (Arlene), Moncton, NB, a niece Sherry Porter, and two nephews, Grant and Greg Ashe.

Jane was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy Kinney and George Ashe, her stepfather, Phillip Kinney, her sister, Phyllis Hale, her niece, Lisa Jane Porter and her great niece, Ashley Porter.

Mom will be laid to rest, alongside her cherished family, on Friday, June 11, 2021 at 2:00 pm at the Christ Church Cemetery, Lower Woodstock, NB with Rev. Williams officiating.  After the service, family will go to First Eel River Lake, her little slice of Heaven on earth, for a boat ride on the lake in her honor.  Although this service is for family only, we ask that you take a moment to remember Mom with love at this time.

If Roses grow in Heaven

If Roses grow in Heaven

Lord, please pick a bunch for me.

Place them in my Mother's arms

and tell her they're from me.

Tell her that I love her and miss her,

and when she turns to smile,

place a kiss upon her cheek

and hold her for awhile.

Because remembering her is easy,

I do it every day,

but there's an ache within my heart

that will never go away.
