Keith P. Ibbitson

Keith P. Ibbitson, 73, of Huntington Street, New London, Ct passed peacefully on August 5, 2010. He was born on February 16th, 1937 in Houlton Maine, the son of the late David and Hilda (Pickard) Ibbitson. Keith moved to the United States at the age of 16 and lived and worked in Deep River, CT most of his life. He worked first in the restaurant business and then went on to manage the A&P Grocery store in Deep River before becoming a self- employed residential painter. He enjoyed the outdoors and traveling to Maine. He was also an avid reader. Most of all, Keith will be remembered as a fun loving member of each community that he touched throughout his life. He is survived by sisters, Lena Lawrence, Katherine Von Tassel, Norma Sligar, Yvonne Wright, Marylou Bustamante, Faye Paul and brothers, George and Glenn. Keith was predeceased by brothers, Marshall and Robert. Keith will also be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews.
A service will be held in his memory on August 21, 2010, at 11:00 am, from the Carleton Funeral Home, 337 Lockhart Mill Road, Jacksonville, Canada. Interment will follow at the Woodstock Rural Cemetery.
