Ronald D. Hargest
1927-2010
The death of Ronald D. Hargest, of Watson Settlement Rd in Belleville,
husband of Vera (Tompkins) Hargest, occurred unexpectedly at the Dr.
Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on August 15, 2010. Ron is survived
by; his wife of 60 years; children Audrey Hargest, of Watson
Settlement, Evelyn (Brian)Purinton of Richmond Corner, Greta (George)
Kennedy of Maxwell, and Reid(Ruth) Hargest of Woodstock; grandchildren
Chris Purinton, Mike Purinton, Jason Kennedy, Blake Kennedy, Ryan
Kennedy, David Hargest and only granddaughter, Alyson Smith;
great-grandchildren Brady, Samantha, David, Lauren, Sophie, Rikki,
Brandon, Sam, Jesse, Keleb, Gracen, Sidney, Hailie and Braden; sisters
Glenys Lee and Mabel McLellan; and several nieces, nephews and
cousins.
His grandsons will be pallbearers and his granddaughter will be honourary pallbearer. Also, grandson David Hargest will assist with the service in honour of his Grampie.
He was predeceased by his parents and sister Lorna Tompkins.
Visitation will be held from Carleton Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 17 from 6-9 pm. A funeral service will be from the Carleton Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, August 18, at 11:00 am with Pastor Leonard Cousins officiating. Suggested donations are to the NB Heart and Stroke, the IWK Foundation, or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
